Esferico Milagroso 2008

This piece was to be a score, a composition of imbricated clusters of powerful images known as a Milagros. This images are specifically recognized by people who live and working El Paso vicinity.

Upon inspection before I started on the fabrication of the artwork. I noticed that the hollow sphere allowed room to create a time related layer to the artwork. The sphere has been sealed. An encapsulation of prayers, written poems of peace, child’s wishes, newspapers from both borders, incense, sage, sealed envelopes from community people with their hopes, blessing, desires and the ipod of an individual who surrendered his library of music.
